Snowflake previews HTML reports shared as account-level artifacts

November 5, 2026 · Central Time

Snowflake announced on November 4 that self-contained HTML reports are available in public preview. Users can create them with CoCo in Snowsight Workspaces or CoCo Desktop. Snowflake CoWork can also generate them through an agent with code execution enabled.

The report is shared by publishing it as a Report artifact to users or roles in the same Snowflake account. That is the audience described in the release. The announcement does not say that publishing automatically creates a public website anyone can open.

Recipients can view the artifact in Snowsight or CoWork without access to the original workspace or source data tables. This makes the shared report content accessible separately from those underlying resources. It is not a statement that a recipient can query all of the original data.

The release says reports support interactive charts based on saved data and links to external sites. Interactivity therefore does not imply that every chart is a live query against current source tables. The announcement describes sharing a snapshot of the report content.

After editing or refreshing a source report, the author must publish an update to change the shared artifact. Teams should distinguish that explicit update step from automatic synchronization. The short release does not promise that edits instantly appear in every recipient's copy.

This is a public preview, not an announcement of general availability. The note does not provide a new price, a performance benchmark or a blanket guarantee about the contents of generated reports. For a rollout, review the report itself and choose the intended account users or roles before sharing.
