Oracle AI Agent Studio brings no-code agent building to industry applications with MCP support

October 21, 2026 · Central Time

Oracle announced Oracle AI Agent Studio for Industry Applications on October 21, 2026, a no-code and low-code environment for creating, testing, orchestrating, deploying, and managing AI agents built around industry-specific business processes.

The offering extends Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, giving customers and partners prebuilt industry agents, workflows, templates, and reusable tools so teams can adapt agents to their own data, decisions, roles, and policies instead of building each use case from scratch.

Cross-application orchestration coordinates supported agents, tools, and services across Oracle Industry Applications and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications for multi-step processes. Model Context Protocol (MCP) support connects agents to approved Oracle Industry Application tools through MCP servers for reuse across multiple use cases.

Developers can choose from generative models available through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Enterprise AI, test and debug agents before deployment, and monitor execution, performance, and AI-unit consumption as adoption grows.

Oracle said the studio is planned to be available within the next 12 months in the United States, with expansion to all supported OCI Enterprise AI regions planned over time. Simon de Montfort Walker, Oracle's EVP of Industry Applications, framed the value as agents working within the processes, data, and controls that define how an industry operates.

Buyer note: the 12-month availability window makes this a roadmap item, not a shipping product. Teams already on Oracle Industry or Fusion Cloud apps can use the announcement to plan agent governance now - deciding which roles and approval flows agents will inherit - while confirming which prebuilt templates map to their vertical before committing implementation budget.
