Notified opens MCP beta for PR and IR workflows, starting with Microsoft Teams and Copilot
Notified announced on October 21, 2026 that it has opened the beta program for Notified MCP, a Model Context Protocol server for public relations and investor relations workflows that lets teams query communications performance, prepare for executive conversations and act on market signals from inside their AI workspace.
Based on client feedback, Notified MCP will be commercially available starting with Microsoft Teams and Copilot, with ChatGPT support to follow and Claude and Gemini after that. Notified says Microsoft 365 was chosen first because it is already in daily enterprise use and has typically passed information security review.
The beta begins with GlobeNewswire press release drafting, optimization and reporting, and includes access to IR events, IR website metrics and Market Intelligence data. Press release distribution from within the agent is planned for a future release, as are end-to-end workflows spanning CRM platforms, document libraries and calendars.
'PR and IR pros are being asked to show results faster and with more precision than ever before,' said Jeff Stacey, Chief Product Officer at Notified. CEO Erik Carlson added that within 24 months practitioners 'won't be switching between vendor platforms' but will work conversationally through custom agent interfaces.
On security, Notified MCP follows the standard Microsoft 365 approval path for adding a vendor agent to Teams, with the client's IT or information security team approving the Notified agent from the Microsoft 365 agent store. Users then sign in with existing Notified credentials and can only access the data their current permissions allow, with no new data-sharing arrangements required.
The beta is open to eligible North American clients through their account managers, with broader availability to follow. Organizations can also connect internally built agents directly to the Notified MCP server. Buyers should treat drafting quality as unproven at beta stage and keep human review on any AI-drafted release before distribution.
