Courtroom Insight connector brings verified legal people and matter data into Harvey via MCP

October 22, 2026 · Central Time

Courtroom Insight announced on October 21, 2026 that its CI MCP Server connector is now generally available through Harvey's Connector Library, bringing Courtroom Insight's verified people and matter data, combined with a firm's own internal records, directly into the Harvey legal AI platform.

The integration lets lawyers evaluate expert witnesses, arbitrators, judges and opposing counsel using firm records alongside Courtroom Insight's proprietary people data, which includes expert retentions, Daubert challenge outcomes and private internal reviews. Lawyers can also surface a firm's prior experience and connections to client organizations to draft data-backed pitches, with every legal professional and matter tied to a unique CI Identifier.

Courtroom Insight says the connector replaces the firmwide 'pardon the interruption' emails lawyers historically sent to research who worked on what, with whom and in front of whom, returning those answers in minutes inside Harvey rather than days through business support teams. Harvey's Head of Product Business Development Nate Schlein said the connector 'puts clean, structured people and matter data exactly where lawyers already work.'

For law firm managing partners, litigation leaders and knowledge management teams, the connector illustrates how domain-specific data infrastructure can ground a vertical AI platform in verified records, reducing factual errors in litigation strategy and business development work where hallucinated credentials carry real malpractice and reputational risk.

Buyers should note the commercial prerequisites: the connector is available only to joint Courtroom Insight and Harvey customers and must be enabled by an administrator in Harvey's platform settings. Neither vendor disclosed additive connector fees or API query limits for high-volume MCP data retrieval, so firms should confirm licensing terms during procurement.

On confidentiality, the CI MCP Server is read-only, maintains customers' existing privacy preferences, and has been reviewed by Harvey's Security & Trust team, as is every connector in the library. Firms that prefer not to connect internal records can still use the integration with Courtroom Insight's proprietary data alone, but should review internal data governance policies before exposing sensitive matter histories to cross-platform indexing.
