Amazon introduces Bee Frontier and Eclipse, with different availability and company-stated privacy controls

October 15, 2026 · Central Time

Amazon introduced Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse on October 15 as new devices for turning conversations into summaries, reminders, to-dos and other information. The announcement describes a wearable and a magnetic phone attachment, not a guarantee that generated summaries will be accurate in every setting.

Bee Frontier can be worn on a wrist or clipped to clothing. Amazon lists IP67 water resistance, USB-C charging, dual microphones and up to seven days of battery life. It says Frontier is available now at Amazon.com for $74.99 in Onyx, Lavender and Sage. These are manufacturer specifications and the price in its announcement, not an independently tested endurance result or a guaranteed final checkout total.

Bee Eclipse attaches magnetically to the back of a phone. Amazon says it offers more than 21 days of battery life and will be available soon starting at $99.99 in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush. Unlike Frontier, Eclipse is not described as already available; the release gives no fixed shipping date.

Bee can connect with apps including Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, and the announcement introduces connections with Alexa+ and Amazon.com. Amazon describes access to summaries and to-dos through Alexa and shopping recommendations informed by Bee. Buyers should distinguish those optional connections from the basic hardware and check which personal information they want connected.

Amazon says Bee Private Compute processes conversations in an isolated environment, deletes audio after processing and encrypts transcripts with keys created and controlled by the user's device. It also describes an on-off button, an indicator light and deletion controls for transcripts and summaries. These are Amazon's privacy claims, not an independent security assessment. The post says users are prompted to gain call participants' permission when starting a recording.

What to check before buying: actual model availability, the final price, supported apps and the controls for capturing or sharing conversations. The announcement does not establish a monthly subscription price or a specific free-plan retention limit. Neither automatic summaries nor a visible recording light replace the need to understand consent requirements for the setting.
